I want to hook up the front panel audio on a Centurion 5 to an Intel DG965RY. The audio cable on the case has a 10 pin connector labled HD audio, a 10 pin connector labled AC97, and a bunch of loose cables with two white paper tags labled AC97 and Azalia. The mobo has two areas labeled Audio. A yellow 9 pin FP Audio and a black 15 pin HD Audio. How do I proceed?

Also there is a case speaker cable, but I dont see a specific speaker connection on the mobo.

I appreciate your help!

Looks like the FP Audio on the motherboard (front panel audio) is a 10 pin connector (maybe a pin is missing).

Connect the 10 pin AC97 connector from the case to the 10 pin FP audio on the board.

I used the HDAudio 10 pin in the yellow FP Audio slot and it worked! Doing some further research I believe the AC97 would of worked as well depending on my drivers. I never used the black 16pin input, which I don't believe is a concern.

Also, I learned the case speaker was not needed with this Intel Mobo.
