hey guys im trying to build this system. its has a low budget (have monitor already) as it will not be used for anything but the casualest of gaming. (its for my sister) i currently have a s939 proc single core (3000+) that i got for 30 dollars from a friend. i also have a 6500 gs card(pci-express x16) which is like a 4 pipeline 256mb card. i prefer to use microatx but i have no idea what motherboard or case i should use. mainly i wanna keep costs and size down. probably the most intensive game that will be used on this is probably roller coaster tycoon 3 and sims 2. so obviously does not need to be overly powerful. any suggestions on the components i should look at? thanks in advance!!!!

p.s.
i wanna try and run vista home premium on it so yeah.

I have an Asus A8N VM-CSM. s939, ddr400, pci-e slot and matx. Very stable board, only problem is that the FSB only hits 240 if you plan on o'cing.

Plus i am currently running Vista with no problems.

Agree with desolation on the mobo - just fine for what you want. also hdd should avalable in the $60-70 range for 250gb (may even be a little much but difference for 120 not really enough to justify the savings. On board sound is fine for games mentioned. 400 watt decent psu $50. (just in case you want to upgrade the video in the future) With this gear, thermals will not be an issue so find a decent cheap minitower case without a psu. Stock air and an 80mm exhaust should be fine. Directron.com and Zipzoomfly usually have some specials (just saw a pink plastic Antec on Directron - cheap) Couple of sticks of DDR 400 (1gb total min for Vista Home premium) Geil, Patriot, Kingston make some decent 512 value sticks.
Should be a pretty easy build.

Ok you nearly have the right motherboard. Only difference is you have chosen the socket AM2 one instead of socket 939. I couldnt find my motherboard on newegg or a decent Gigabyt/Abit board but did come across this Foxconn

I googled it, gets good reviews and it has a 7.1 audio instead.

Still recommend the ASUS A8N VM-CSM if you can get it though
