prozac26 makes a very good point!!

You need a decent PSU because the 8800GTX has two power connectors instead of the usual one!!
If you go for two 8800 GTX's then you need a SERIOUS power supply!!! Between 800watts to maybe 1Kw!!
Also, your mobo will have to support SLI if want two cards!!
If you have an ageing mobo and RAM etc then get 1 card and spend the rest on a good mobo, processor and RAM

The 8800GTX on its own is seriously powerful though!!
It works best on the highest resolutions so I hope you have chosen your monitor well!! (if your new monitor's highest resolution is 1280 by 1024 then you are totally wasting your cash)!!

Post your specs and we can guide you!!

That's why I asked him for system specs.
My 8800GTX was shutting down my system because it didn't had enough power. I have 500W PSU (although NVidia claims that 450W is enough).
So I exchanged it for 8800GTS. No shutdown now.

Definately worth the upgrade, my monitors arent as big as what your going to get (2x 22" WS Viewsonic) but the GTX plays everything I throw at it great at 1680x1050. I have a 580w Tagan PSU and so far no problems with the specs listed below. I upgraded from a 7800GT, hell of a difference!

Good luck mate :D

That card should run fine on a Dell 30" monitor. I find it funny that somehow EVERYONE managed to ignore the fact that he said he was getting the 30" monitor. I wouldn't bother putting anything less then a 8800 GTS 320 MB edition on it considering the resolutions it's capable of.
