wanting a login screen

Hello i am very new to computers i have broadband cable internet (?) its conected with a cable,My problem is my computer is connected to the internet at all times and my children use my computer alot and i dont want them accesing the internet when ever they want,for now i have a password set on my windows xp login screen but want to take that off later and be able to click on internet exployer and have to put in a password to access the internet i would appreciate any help ALOT......otherwise in going back to dial up,thank you for any reply

Another thing you may want to consider is that most Providers offer "Parential Control" software for just the case you mention. You may want to check with your provider and see if they offer this service.

try a nanny program or make them "kids" a username and remove the internet explorer icons and enable IE content manager to restrict all websites (uses password)
