This may not be in the correct forum but here goes.
All I want to know is. . . .
Which is the best way to play my games on max settings??
NVIDIA control panel setting or Application Controlled??
I have a decent set-up but notice performance issues with certain games when I have used the control panel settings (as opposed to application controlled).
For example: Silent Hunter III looks awful with application controlled AA - AF etc But if i ramp up the AA and AF manually to max settings with SLI its beautiful to look at.
Exactly the same issue with Company Of Heroes!!!
And various other games for that matter.
Anybody have any ideas as to what to stick with???
So what you are saying is that its pot-luck!!!
I have noticed that Company Of Heroes (excellent game) runs exceptionally well if i let the game decide the correct settings instead of them being fixed by myself in the control panel!!
Thanks for your reply mate!!
P.S am thinking of replacing my SLI set-up for a XFX 8800GTX XXX edtion. What do you think?? If I did, would I need a new monitor LCD to display the higher resolutions because my current LCD has a max res of 1280x1024 which is crap to be fair!!! any comments???
Yeah, SLI at 1280x1024 IS a MASSIVE waste of money but when I built my rig 6 months ago I neglected to read-up on how to get the best from SLI.
I just saw SLI and thought, Im gettin that!!! Stupid huh??
The games I play are the likes of, CoH, silent hunter III (and 4 when it arrives), Half-Life 2, iL2 Pacific Fighters etc.
Im pre-ordering the likes of - CRYSIS, Stalker, and any DX10 game that plays and looks the part!! hence the 8800 or 8900??
