I am new to the overclocking world, but I have read a lot of posts here. I have the following setup:

Intel C2D E6300
Asus P5N-E 650i motherboard
2 GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800
Zalman CNPS 9500
Antec 900 Case
Antec Neo HE 550 power suply
eVGA 8800GTS
Vista Home Premium 64-bit

The problem is that I cannot get over an overclock of 2.59GHz . My temp is at 38C using Prime95 (2 instances) for about 2 hours, so my temp seem fine.

I have my FSB set to 370 and have not overclocked my RAM at all. I am using unlinked mode with my RAM at 400 and timings of 4-4-4-12-2T.

Voltages are 2.08 RAM, 1.56 NB, 1.35 VCore.

Anytime I go higher than 370 on the FSB I either can't boot or crash when I get to the Windows start-up screen.

Any advice or assistance would be awesome.

For some reason, I CPU-Z is not functioning correctly with Vista 64-bit. I have read of others being able to get it working, but unfortunately I haven't been able to make it work. I will try again though.

I have upped the vcore from 1.35 to 1.375 to ~1.39, but I wasn't sure if that was too much.

I will keep trying, but I really wanted to find out if it looked like there was something obvious that I had overlooked.

I appreciate the help. I will post back when I have time to mess with it again.

I also discovered that CPU-Z has been updated for Vista 64 so I can post screenshots when I get home.
