After reinstalling windows xp pro sp1 on a 2 year old system with an Asus P4P800-SE mobo (integrated ethernet) i'm unable to set up any network of any kind, or get any type of connection to register. Device manager also does not register an ethernet adapter. Do i need to install some sort of additional drivers for the mobo? Totally in the dark here, any suggestions would be most appreciated

Yes there should be a CD that came with the MoBo. if you cant find it then you will have to go to the mfr's website and download it from another PC and burn the drivers to cd or possibly a floppy if the drivers are small enough.

its a friends comp so i had to find the drivers online, none of the original software was available. problem solved - thanks a bunch
