Problem: I am getting a performance score of 1 on both GPU specific performance tests in Vista Home Prem. My build (see sig) is good and i should be getting way over the required to run aero etc....
I've looked everywhere and i cannot find a solution i sure hope you guys can help me! I downloaded the latest Vista driver from ATI is there anything im missing?
Solution: Managed to install it properly if anyone else is having the problem make sure you download Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 First before you download the GPU Drivers Because Vista is auto set to .NET 3.0 For DirectX10 cards.
Is the video performance poor as well, or is it just the rating system that appears to be wrong? You should be in the high-ish 5s with that card I would think (my 7900GT gets 5.9)
Whats an MFG? Managed to install it properly if anyone else is having the problem make sure you download Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 First before you download the GPU Drivers Because Vista is auto set to .NET 3.0 For DirectX10 cards.
Now, that .NET got slower on each upgrade, no doubt from what I've seen (not really into it), but still, that bad? Or is it just Vista... Isn't Microsoft a nice company to provide us with such healthy training against headaches?
Thank you for the thread this is getting added to my "Fix list" I am hopeing to gather as many of these as I can over the weakend so I can go onto work on monday more prepaired for those Vista calls
Had an interesting one last night with a problem on a notebook not waking up from hibernation when the lid was closed. Turns out the solution was to turn off hibernation... I guess MS will fix it or there will be a BIOS update.
I do hope that all of these issuss are taken care of in a service pack or something by November. Tinkering and troubleshooting a new operating system used to be "fun" for me, but in my older age now its just a pain in the neck. I have played around with vista on a friends computer and I can wait until November (when I either upgrade or do a new build). Vista is not gonna change my life at all.
You guys realise that 5.9 is currently the maximum score for the subscores and the base score right? Microsoft are going to raise the maximum achievable score slowly over time, as hardware improves.
