I am in the process of building my first home made computer.
I want to build an extremely powerful computer used mostly for graphics and a few games.
My games are mostly the simulator type, like MS Flight Simulator.
In doing some research, I have come up with the following items to start my build with.
I would like to hear some opinions on these items from people who know what there talking about.
For the Motherboard, I like the GIGABYTE GA-965P-DQ6 2.0.
Processor - Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700
Ram, still trying to figure that out, but minimum of 2 gigs, I would get 4 gigs, only if I knew, they could be used to there full potential???
Graphics Cards, EVGA 768-P2-N835-AR GeForce 8800GTX 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SUPERCLOCKED HDCP Video Card
Hard drive - 1 perhaps 2, Western Digital Raptor X WD1500AHFD 150GB 10,000 RPM 16MB Cache Serial ATA150 Hard Drive.
A Thermaltake Toughpower Cable Management 700W Power Supply.
A COOLER MASTER Stacker RC-832-KKN1-GP Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case.
So, does this setup look promising, or will there be compatibility issues going on???
Thanks for the help.
