IF i have applied thermal paste to a geforce 8800?

Is it still available to RMA if I have tried thermal paste on the graphics card. I narrowed it down to the graphics card causing my shut downs and tried thermal paste to no avail. If i send this RMA will they tell me they will not send me another because of that? Just wondering thanks for any help.

Not an answer you want to hear I suppose, but it depends on the vendor....the better vendors will examine the board to find what the cause of the problem is...if they think you caused the break then your out of luck...other vendors will deny your claim if you have done anything.
