I know a lot of people have this problem, but I recently bought a brand new laptop (HP DV8032). It has built in wireless internet. I have a wireless network set up at my house using a Westell Versalink 327W router with a SMC 2404WBR Wireless router. They have work on my old laptop but now with the new I can't get a connection. I've gotten it to connect by manually setting up the IP addresses, but still cannot view the internet. Someone please HELP!!
I know this may sound stupid but there is a button on the computer that activates the wireless connections. It could even be one of the functions keys. Also, make sure you have wireless enabled in your internet settings.
Ah! Your right Tom I missed that as I thought he was just running a modem and a router. Should have read the question a little closer. My falut, sorry.
