Hi i have a problem with this box that keeps popping up and it is really
annoying now,,,,since up-grading to BB silver this box keeps appearing now,it
says dial-up connection at the top and it asks for my user name and
password(not even sure which ones?)and it also gives me 3
options,,,,connect,settings and cancel!
I know where to find this,(internet properties/connection tab),but i havent
a clue as to what to set it to or how to stop it from interfering with what i
am doing on screen,i just have to hide it behind whatever i am doing as it
wont go away.
Any help is much appreciated
Thanks
Dippy

Hi Dippy,

To prevent this automatic dialup box, turn off the Remote Access Auto
Connection Manager Service. This Service creates a connection to a remote
network whenever a program references a remote DNS or NetBIOS name or
address. To disable this service, try these steps:

Right click My Computer icon, choose Manage/Services and
Applications/Services
In the right pane, select Remote Access Auto Connection Manager and double
click
Use the Startup type drop box and choose Disabled.

Follow-up with malware cleanup, just in case.
