that's why spedning lots of money on the 22LCD.. otherwise,
it must go with a C2D E6300 and 19LCD...

AMD 3800x2 (80EUR)
Asus M2N-E/NF570U or Giga NF4SLI (85EUR)
Apacer/Corsair D2-667SD 1G (60EUR)
XFX 7900GS (120EUR)
Seagate 72.10SATA320G (80EUR)
Pioneer 16xDVD-RW (30EUR)
TT XP360(320W PowerSupply) (30EUR)
Asus Case (20EUR)
Microsoft Mouse+Keyboard(20EUR)
LG 226WT LCD (299EUR)
........

The choices are sorta weird, considering nearly 40% of your cash will be spent on a screen, youre basically building a 500euro PC. Also you dont say what you want the PC for??????
You should get another gig of ram if youre using it for gaming also a 500 W or higher PSU is a must these days, check the recommended ones for SLI on nvidia site

Other than that youre choices are fairly good :)

OP, where did you get these prices, they seem awfully low from where I'm coming

OT: Check the LG 204WT, very nice screen, only marginally smaller than the 22inch you have chosen. Definately try to get a better PSU, even if it can feed your rig now, I doubt it will be able to keep doing that once wear and tear start to set in.

Yup, add it...

another 1G Ram will come whenever feeling it's not fast enough,
or go with Vista some month later :)

seems not so many guys will spend lots/ratio of $ on LCD

just forget the price.. it's more or less the same i could find here

will consider 19 or 22 for LCD iso 20, Samsung 226BW and LG 226WT
are the candicates.... downgrade - 940BW/194WT

seems Every one is recommanding a higher PSU...well, then i shall
consider a 400w+ one from Acbel

Im getting a 22" samsung 226BW :) but ive also bought an E6400 dual core, ASUS P5N32-E SLI and 2 gig XMS 6400C4 and a Scythe Mine CPU fan, so all my components are fairly good. I just find the choice of really cheap PC + big expensive( relative to what youre spending on the PC ) screen kinda weird. It would be fine for 3d design/cad or whatever

Basically it depends on what you want it for, if it is for gaming i would buy a 200 quid 19 inch and spend the rest on CPU and ram because the bigger the screen the more powerful your CPU and GPU need to be. When im building a PC now what i do start of with a good CPU and mobo, and upgrade as necessary later on. Things like screens etc can be bought later and theyre easy to sell on, not so easy selling a CPU second hand

If you want the machine to be able to play HD-DVD, you may add a HD-DVD Player rather than an ordinary one, they are not compatible with each other, and a HD-DVD Player for PC could cost you over €300 easily 8)

coz C2D would not be fully made use of the buyer so recommend the AMD one. Found the mobo is also fair enough to run the higher cup e.g. XP5200+/FX series, also 4xDIMM also able to get 4G ram which is more than enough at later stage, sli is something i doubt would be ultilized later on... ha.

C2D is good but not suitable for every user

Ahh well, if gaming wont be the priority use then the components you've chosen are good, apart from the LCD which i know nothing about as i havnt read any reviews for, but as i said the rest is good in my opinion

:)

emm, if go for gaming , a Ps3+Xbox360 could dominate the world...
also not forget wii
i think console games are too expensive, in a year 10 ps3 games would be around 700 euro, for the pc that would be around 350 euro, thats a nice 350 euro to spend on upgrading a PC :)

If i get a super huge hd tv i might consider an xbox 360, but i use my pc for a lot of different things so for the moment i prefer it to have more grunt

Yeah, my first suggestion is to stop buying computer components out of the back of trucks. The authorities frown on that a bit, and that's the only way that you're getting these prices in Europe. Now unless you've got a buddy who is looking the other way at VAT time...
