Well I have a little bit of money and I want to upgrade my emachines T3958. Here are the specs, http://reviews.cnet.com/EMachines_ [...] 15075.html I will be upgrading my video card, ram, new fan and heat sink for the processor and a bigger case fan. I am curious if I am able to OC anything. I will be adding 1g of ram to the system. I am very new at overclocking. thank you for any help.

I doubt if that machine can be upgraded much at all. Unless I missed it in the specs you do not have either a PCI Express slot or an AGP slot so you can't put in a decent graphics card. You could use an old PCI card but i doubt it would give much of an improvement if any.

As for overclocking, again i would think that the Bios won't have the required options. Though you could check to see if the front side bus (fsb) speed can be changed if its listed.

The only way you could do what you want would be to replace the motherboard with either a board that has the same cpu socket (478) and the features you want. Or go for a more current board which would require a new CPU and almost certainly a change of RAM.

My recommendation would be to either sell that machine or keep it as a second pc then save for a new machine or the bits to build one.

No. AGP card for you m8...PCi card are so expensive while the performance gain are not much worth the money spent.
