A client wants to use a firewall appliance, Firebox X5, on the small business
setup she wants for her home business. We are using SBS.

From reading some stuff on Firebox X5 it appears to me that it takes the
function of a router and switch as well as a security device.

Is my view correct or is there something I do not understand?

I am not familiar with the device but I did look it up and it says it can do
NAT, has built in switch and also is a true SPI firewall. Looks like it will
fit the bill. If you can download he users guide, that is always a smart
thing to do also. It looks like it is limited to 12 users [ probably unique
outbound IP addresses] at a time however if that is a consideration. ---
