I was going to get a Gigabyte DQ6, but after reading the reviews on it I changed my mind. It surprised me that it didn't overclock very well. I was thinking about getting an MSI P965 Platinum, but it seems a little outdated. I'll be using a Sapphire Radeon X1950 XT Video Card and a Intel Core 2 Duo E6400. I haven't seen any new mobo reviews for awhile, so i'm a bit confused as to what would work for me. I plan on overclocking...

The Gigabyte DS3 is very popular and I believe considered a fantastic overclocker. I use a EVGA 680i and I'm fond of it, but it's a lot more expensive. I've heard bad things about the Platinum though. So yeah, if the DS3 fits your purposes, it's a really popular C2D overclocking board.

get either the ds3, the s3 or the ds4, dependign on your situation, they are all practically the same and there is very little price difference and they are all excellent c2d oc'rs

I heard a lot of people were have problems with that board.
the problems are minor & virtually all resolved in the beta BIOS. Overall it's a very stable board.
It's also currently the fastest 965 board that there is.
