Hi everyone,

I just bought a 19" widescreen lcd monitor, and i'm looking to buy a cheap AGP graphics card that will support the monitors 1440x900 resolution with a DVI connection.

I don't game much, so i just want a cheap card, i just don't know how to tell if a card will support widescreen or not.

Thanks for any help!!

I know I got that resulution on my Ati x1600 Pro card, although mine is the PCIe version, and I don't see why the AGP version shouldn't be able to get the same. Last I looked you should be able to get one fairly cheap :)

Shouldn't be hard to find. My wife's computer has onboard graphics on an old Intel 845 chipset and even that runs her 19" widescreen monitor at the native 1440x900. Based on that, I would think any AGP card new enough to have a DVI port could do it.

It's true. AGP 6200s with DVI are about 40 bucks.

Thanks for the responses! I think the FX5500 might also work.

what gain/benefit will i achieve by getting a 128bit vs a 64bit (cheaper) ?
