Hi, I'm In the process of building new system,
Mounted the Motherboard (GIGABYTE GA-965P-DQ6),
Power Supply(OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI ATX12V
700W),
Put the memory, (Mushkin 4 x 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800) Used 1 stick at first and then tried all 4 of them also
CPU(Intel Core 2 Duo E6600) and
Video card (PNY VCG8800XXPB GeForce 8800GTX) in, powered up and the fans and everything comes on but I get nothing on the monitor and NO BEEP CODES at all, no error codes, nothing.
Tried with just memory and video card still nothing, tried with video card only, with a hard drive and without, I still get
nothing, not even error code, tried with just memory nothing.

I also took the board out of case, put it on cardboard to make sure it wasn't shorted to the case, and plugged in basic components (memory, video, 1 hard drive, etc), and also just 1 stick of the memory, to see if it would boot, same results, nothing.

One thing I noticed when I had it all out in the open was the PSU has a lighted fan and I noticed that it did not seem very bright, when the power comes on, the PSU fan lights sort of come on brightly, not like a flash or anyhting, they just start bright then fade quickly, I am now wondering if the PSU might be suspect.
I also thought it might be the memory as the intel 965 is apparently very "picky" about memory, needing
1.8v @ 5-5-5-12, but the mushkin memory I have is supposed to be exactly that.

Motherboard bad? PSU?

Thanks!

Could be something as simple as having all the wires and cables plugged in correctly.
Lol that helps him alot.

What id do is go to compusa and grab a cheap pcie card and try it.. see if it works if not return it for a refund and just say it didnt fit cause you had agp board lol..

Pick up some ddr2 memory also and do the same thing just say u had ddr1 if they ask.

If that doesnt help call up mobo manufacture there should be a support number in the mobo manual i heard ur brand is VERY good about helping there customers and they may be able to rule out the mobo based on the amount of beeping its doing.

Maybe someone else has suggestions, thats what id try.

No comp USA or anything that has PC parts close or I'd have already tried the swapping out game ;)
Trying to get in touch with Gigabyte now, to see if I'm missing something,
Newegg said they'd let me RMA....
Links Should work now, if anyone's interested.

Thanks
