hi, first here is my sytem

psu colors it 600watts pfc 30a 12v+
intel dg965wh
core 2 e6400
2x1gb corsair xms2 5-5-5-12 or 2x512 geil ddr2 533mhz 4-4-4-12
2x hitachi sataII 200gb raid0
sapphire x1950xt 256mg ddr3

the system seems to be working well and i can play battlefield 2142 at max settings with no problems as well as doing downloads and surfing in the internet, but if i play company of heroes, halo or swat 4 with the expansion pack the system just keeps rebooting, i don´t know what´s going on. I can play these same games in my son´s computer that is one sempron 2400+ with 512mg,geforce 5200 and an old 20gb hardrive at minumum settings with no problems. So it isn´t the games, so what can be the problem? thanks

Did you ever resolve your crashing issue? I have the same board; I don't game and am running XP -- don't know how that compares with you, but I have been troubleshooting this board (which is the 2nd one -- 1st one replaced) -- for weeks. BSODs all the time. I'm waiting on some info from Intel -- either suggestions for a fix or a replacement.

In my own case it was not the power supply --- I had it checked. My Windows stop errors that show on the BSOD describe a new problem almost every time -- these are some that I've had (we're talking about 10-15 crashes a day)...

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER
MBR_CHECKSUM_MISMATCH
UNABLE_TO_LOCATE_DLL
BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

This may not help you at all, but perhaps it can help you decide what is not the problem if you're still having them. mcaren

Hmmm... if its just rebooting on some games, and not others, it would most likely be a PSU problem, or some kind of driver problem. My thoughts are more that it is a driver problem. BF 2142 is a relatively demanding game. Another thing you might cosider is, do you have proper cooling going on inside your box? How high are your temps getting in there?
