I currently have a Gateway 15-inch LCD Flat Panel Display (FPD1530) monitor and would like to upgrade to a larger one. What does my computer need to have to do this????

It all depends on what you already have. If you have a decent gpu then more than likely nothing, give some specs on your computer, its always good to know where you start from so you know where youre going

Well, I just upgraded to a ATI Radeon 9550 video card with 256MB

Does it have a vga output at the back or dvi? But anyway I would recommend a viewsonic 19 inch monitor, look for ones with less than 8ms response time.

It has both!!!! I currently have a 15 inch flat screen monitor and would like to go up to at least a 20 inch.

So get a viewsonic 20 incher then. Something like this:

I would check some benchmarks at different resolutions for that 9550 card if I were you, otherwise you could find that once you got new bigger monitor you also need a new card.
