I left my wireless CF card in my iPAQ 2210 and drained the battery which
caused a hard reset. This happened once before so I automatically create a
full backup on every sync. I save this file on my D:\ drive, instead of C:\,
which should make no difference, at least I think.
when I tried to restore the backup file I get the following error.
Restore: Invalid Stroage File Version - The selected backup file was created
by an incomnpatibleversion of backup. Please select another storage file.
Not sure why since this backup is only 1 day old. I use ActiveSync v3.7.1

Check your regional settings on the Pocket PC. They need to match the
settings pre-backup. For some reason, the backup in AS doesn't restore
that setting and can't restore if it differes from what is in the
backup file.
