I'm building a PVR out of my old computer parts, but I just realized that my old GPU doesn't have S-Video out. My friend is selling his GPU, its a ATI 9800 Pro 256MB with S-Video/VGA/DVI for $60. I know its a gaming GPU and probably more then enough for my PVR, but how much would you guys pay for it? Thanks.

What do you think is the better deal, the 9800 or the one you posted in the link.

if you want more power in case you might want to game, 9800 Pro is better, but if you want to save some money, go with jaguarskx's suggestion

I just found out too, that the 9800 Pro that he's selling comes with a zalman advanced passive cooler as well.

If you will not be playing any games then the the 9250 is the better choice because it is cheaper. It is also fanless so it will not make any noise and since it is new it will come with a 1 year warranty.

If you want to play some not too demanding games then the 9800Pro will be the better choice.

$60 for that is not a bad deal then, especially for some lite gaming.
