A8N-VM takes forever to boot

I tried different mem and different hd. When I power up it takes much longer than any other computer I have ever seen to boot, any ideas? Thanks.

On my comp, when it can't find a floppy drive or CD drive, it takes longer. Make sure that the settings in the BIOS are good.

I unpluged the cdroms from the mother board and still took forever. when I hit delete to go in to the bios it takes forever too, but when I unpluged the hd it went right in to the bios, maybe the hd is bad???
