Has anybody delt with this company? I am seriously considering purchasing a computer from these people, so I just have a couple basic questions about them. If you have had any experiences with them, please let me know.

1.) Are they reliable and reputable?
2.) I live in Regina, SK. Has anyone here ordered from them out of town?
3.) Because I live out of town, what is their warranty service like? Has anyone had any experiences?

I had actually read this message when it was freshly posted, but neglected to reply, as I was worried that someone might think I actually work for them :)
Though I live locally with them and often buy from them, I do NOT work for them. I have never EVER worked for them.

Anyway, to answer your questions, since someone referred you to me:
1) Often do not reply to emails until you ask them a couple of times, forum on site is not well maintained, phone service often rushed unless you get a nice service rep. Instore: pretty good service, excellent service with their "Internet Order" department, but sometimes lack available salespeople at busy times. They're getting larger in terms of company size and revenue, so "personalized" customer service isn't like it used to be. My last purchase was a simple floppy drive, I ordered online and then went to pick it up. Walked right up to Internet order department and left the store happy within minutes.
2) I have not ordered out of town, but I've heard that many orders arrive really quickly with their shipping.
3) Instore warranty service: can't really comment, but I can tell you that one time 2 years ago, I brought in a computer I bought elsewhere cuz I just couldn't figure out the problem. They called a tech to help me and we spent 3hours together trying to find the problem, and I wasn't asked to pay any charges at all.

I hope this helps; I think they have been rated on resellerratings.com. You'd probably want to check those comments too.

Couple of suggestions, Stephane (if you ever read this).

1. ALWAYS list the manufacturer and model of EVERYTHING. Including the power supply and motherboard, which weren't listed on your site.

2. Have a read <A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/community/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=6456#6456" target="_new">here</A> to see what people around here think about pre-built systems. It might give you some ideas.

But good luck with Apocalypse, and don't forget to play a game every once in a while :)

No idea, but I think it's as necessary. The price you see is the price you pay if you order at that point in time.

I live close to you (Saskatoon) & have bought many things from NCIX. You won't have any problems (regarding getting ripped off).

Cheers,

Stephane,

I visited your site. Your prices are good but the site lacks detailed product information. The "branded" ram is described as "generic" when I click on "more info". No info what so ever is given on how the chips are arranged (64x4, 32x8 ???) also. This is not good.

I searched for network cards but was unsuccessful too. So, I emailed your company asking if you did in fact sell network cards (I also asked if you could supply any Slot-1 PIII's). Well, two weeks later I haven't heard anything from you.

Not good.

Cheers,

Ron_Jeremy

Hello Ron,

I need to know , at what time and which day you sent this e-mail? I will find who was working this day. I’m really sorry for the misunderstanding.

As for your questions...

Our generic memory is normally (32x8) and the most of the time we sales Micron, Samsung memory or a Division of Micron.(Example: Spectek)

For Slot-1 PIII, We can have P3 Slot-1 processor’s, if not, we take socket-1 with adapter for Slot-1.

If you have any other questions you can write to me personally at this address:

stephane.audit@apocalypsepc.com

Once again sorry for the delay…
