what is wrong with this thing

i recently moved two months ago and before i left the internet was working fine. now im in my new place and i get the internet back and it wont work. it brings up maybe a page or two then it won't work it get no connection at all its like its playin hookie or something. i tried everything reseting the modem and router, just pluging my ethernet cord into the router, my roommates internet works on his computer with the router hooked up and everything and i have no firewalls on at this time so i have no clue as to what the hell is wrong someone help me!

Are you using DHCP, Static. Does you nic port shows connected, limited...

run ipconfig /all and post results.

Are your roommates running P2P software. and hogging all of the band width?
