I currently have a X-10 Pyramid IR Transmitter/Receiver system that I
use so that I can use my HD TIVO with a couple televisions and control
it from both TV's. As well, this system is used to control a
component switchbox as well as a D-VHS JVC deck. The units are all in
a cabinet together so in general the universal remote can easily
control all these units through the one IR system. At times though
the signal won't reach all units and I have a IR transmitter that is
plugged into the receiver that I mounted in a place that it can reach
most components well but then it sometimes controls the TV next to the
components which I don't want.
My question, is there a adaptor or maybe another IR
transmitter/receiver system that I can use that can hold up to 3 IR
transmitter extension wires. That way I could mount the transmitter
directly in front of each component by the IR window. I know I could
easily just buy a couple extra receivers but was hoping there was a
cheaper solution. Thanks for any suggestions.

I've been using Audioplex [hardwired] IR repeaters.
To add extra IR emitters to those, I just splice them together at the unit's
output..

So, I think a 1/8" mono Y-adapter could be used to add more emitters to your
pyramid receiver.

Anyway, here is a dual IR emitter:
