I have a 2 year old WS-55807 and when you turn it on the picture is
distorted (bends in a half circle) and color is real fuzzy. It lasts for
about an hour then returns to normal. My kids play XBox on it and some
games have multi-screens on one tv display. Would this game machine cause
this or is it just because it is out of warranty?

The game machine would not cause this. You may have cracked solder
connections on the convergence output ICs. The WS-55807 was built in 2000,
so if you bought it 2 years ago it sat around for a couple of years or it
was a demo unit. I do not suggest continuing to run the set in this
condition. Sometimes there will be areas of non-linearity in the pix that
can unevenly burn the CRTs. Of course, the games can also cause burn-in, so
you should be running the contrast as low as possible.
