Hello everyone,
I have been looking at this motherboard for a while now and i really like it, I know all you guys will say intel c2d is better but im really a AMD person. I plan on building this system towards xmas. Any suggestions or comments would be great.

Build Cost: 3651.93$ (it will be cheaper hopefully by xmas)

PS.
I thought id spend alot of time on the format of the thread so you guys don't have to spend so much time looking everything up like with others, hope you enjoy! :)
Thanks!
-mike

This system looks great!!! Expensive and Solid. X-mas is FAR away man, all of this stuff will be cut in price or even be out of date as sirheck has mentioned. Its better to buy those things now and quit dreaming what your going to get at christmas.

why not wait until amd stops sucking? Get the barcelona in a few month. My goodness man, by christmas midrange laptops will beat that beast in cpu power! I get the amd thing, but sometimes it takes a lashing to recognize stupidity. Getting amd now is stupid. Wait for their new chip, its not that far from now man.

So many many reasons not to buy amd now.

I understand that you want AMD, and as long as you know that you will be getting less performance for more money then go for it.

The one thing I don't get is why you chose mediocre ram and super nice everything else.

It seems like you'd want to go with something more like one of these:

Corsair Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) (3-4-3-9) $463
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145165

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (4-4-3-5) $200

SUPER TALENT 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 800 (4-4-3-8) $190

-If I were you, I wouldn't make the final decision on GPU's just yet. R600 is right around the corner, and yes, it'll be a hard launch.
-CPU, I'd wait for barcelona. Octo-core sounds good.
-Case, ever thought of the Lian-li V-1200? It's an E(Extended)-ATX case. Oh, and did I mention that it's beautiful  ?
Like the PSU 8)
