Stick with your Connect 3D X1800XT for now, no it's not worth switching.

Your X1800 XT is TWICE the card a 7600 GT is, dude.

You're X1800 XT is about as fast as an X1950 PRO or 7950 GT... both much faster than the 7600 GT.

8O No way. Like Cleeve said, that X1800XT is a much better card.

Sell your house and buy a $120,000 cardboard box right after you swap your video card for a lesser card. I'll sell you a really nice one I've got stashed in my spare room.

Why on earth would you switch from an X1800XT to a 7600GT?

The equivalent of an 7600GT is the X1800GTO, not the X1800XT.

If you buy the 7600 to replace your X1800xt,then sadly sir,you need your head examined.LOL.Hold out for the R600 series or 8800.No offense intended good man,but no one should knowingly drop in a card with lesser performance than the one currently installed, but then I guess that's why you asked.Goodluck.

lol i don't think he knew it was a lesser card, its not like he's an idiot or something.

Good thing you made that post man, or you would of been really pissed off later.

In my opinion tho, i would try to go with atleast a 320mb 8800 GTS. An X1950 is only a slight upgrade from what you have. And i wouldn't pay a few hundred for just a 'little' more performance.
