my internet is thru WOW and i have a Webstar modem that accepts netowrk cable or USB

the other day my integrated network port on my motherboard went bad so i started using the USB port instead

lately i've been wondering which is better to use

i have a pci 10/100 network card that i can put in my computer and go back to using network cable but i don't want to mess with that if the USB provides a faster data transfer

anyone know? should i stick with the USB or go back to Cat5?

Using ethernet is preferred for a LAN. The implementation is more robust.

While USB is a faster bus, that speed is not gaining you anything in this situation since your internet connection is much slower than either the USB or the ethernet.
