Hi,
I have a K700I Sony Erisson phone whic connects via Internet to our office
using IMAP to receive emails. It works fine. What I really want to do
though, is have my IPAQ 2210 receive emails using the bluetooth connection
between K700i and IPAQ 2210. I have the bluetooth link working fine, but
what do I have to set up in the 2210 to request to receive emails via the
mobile? When I choose to send/retrieve it says it is unable to conect as I
have no modem entries created and no network card present.
Anyone with any experience can point me in the right direction as I cant
find any dcumentation anywhere specifically explaining how to do this?

You need to use the K700I as a modem. In the Pocket PC connection
properties (Start|Settings|Connections|Connection) set up a new modem
under My ISP. You will use the "bluetooth modem" to do this.
This thread contains instructions for getting an EM500 (old OLD pocket
PC) to use a Sony T68 as an infrared modem on the US T-Mobile network.
The instructions will be very similar except you are using bluetooth
and it is possible the K700I doesn't have multiple CID codes. You
would change the "*99***x#" to *99# I think. I always forget that
piece since I have always had to use the CID.
You should google for similar settings/dial strings with Cingular,
SprintPCS, Verizon or whomever your carrier is.
