Hello Everyone
First time user, have been reading and now my turn to ask a question.
My kids got a Star Wars game that will not work on my system as it has
an integrated graphics card. So I am needing a new one.
Currently have a HP system AMD Athlon 64 3300+ 2.4ghz L2 cache 1600mhz. 512 ram. Will be upgrading memory to 1G and the power source to handle new card. Do not want to spend a fortune on the card.
Was looking at the 3D Fuzion Geforce 6600 256 mb or the BFG Geforce 6800 GT OC .
What are your thoughts on this, is there another card to get, should Ram be higher
Thanks for your thoughts, appreciate it

Well in the low-end you could get an X1650Pro, it's better than a 6600GT and be roughly equal to a 6800GT. Newegg has one for 110$ before mail-in rebate.

Depends what kind of budget you have or performance you're expecting. At 165$ before rebate there's an X1650XT, it's quite better.

Then at 215$ you get the X1950Pro, whooping all AGP competition.

All three are worth what you pay for them.

A 7600GS is comparable to the X1650pro, so you can go that route if you want, but that x1650pro is a pretty good deal after MIR.

quite a bit better...
