Ive found a brand new E6600 chip for only $389 australian dollars. but the stepping is B1. my question is what is the difference between the B1 stepping and the B2 stepping? is it enough to make a big difference to me?

B2 means it a retail version of the chip. The differences are B1 and C1 and the C1 versions are supposed to perform a bit better O/C'd. Other than that, they are basically identical.

Not 100% sure on this thou.

as far as i know B2 is the latest stepping on the E6600 so B1 would of come first though.
