I'm about to buy a pocket PC (qtek 2020i) and my question is: Is there a
command similar to "Netsend" built in to the OS or is there an application
that i have to buy/download to make it work?

ie I want to send messages throughout the network via wlan to every screen!
I know it works like a charm with an ordinary PC or a Laptop but I want
something smaller..

Yes there is a CMD shell available... google groups this section for an
excellent thread that opened a number of previously unknown options such
as batch file execution and more a few months back.

The thread also contains urls for downloading the shells and tools.

Spoke too soon since I am entheuastic about the CMD options opening
up... Allen is correct afaik, no NETSEND.

To expand on his suggestion, set up a process on a pc that watches for
files to appear, then send those files...

In it's crudest form, this could be done with a batch file that runs in
a loop stopping for a few seconds timeout every cycle.

I truely believe that MS should implement this command! As I truely believe
that there is a demand
out there to be able to send messages easy! Even when you cant access a PC
remotely.

Unfortunately it appears to be desktop windows only.
