I've got an ASUS A8N32-SLI mobo, and a few days ago, all the USB ports on it failed. I tried everything I could to get it working again, reset the BIOS, disabled and re-enabled the USB ports, as well as updating the mobo BIOS. Nothing I did made a difference, so I broke down and got a USB add-on card. I had no PCI slots left, but I did have a PCI express slot open, so I got a PCIe 1x USB card. When I installed the card, suddenly all of my USB ports started working again, including the ones that are suppoused to be controlled by the on-board USB chipset. Has anyone else every heard of anything like this?
