Laptop turns off when I move it??

This lap top, if I move it "a wrong way" it turns off, if i pick it up.. it turns off. any idea?

Has it been previously dropped or otherwise 'abused'?

A friend had this occur to his lappy a few years ago. The problem was a broken contact on the motherboard; any slight bending separated the contact and the m/c shut down. A PC repair shop charged him only £120 to repair it. Not bad considering the amount of work required to find the problem.
