I have a file which I'm unable to delete on a Windows 2000 server. The file
does't have a "security tab" when you view its properties, so it is probably
corrupt.

Is there a utility, other than "chkdsk" , that I could use to add a default
"security descriptor" to the file.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

See if this article will help you out.

How to Remove Files with Reserved Names in Windows

Another option is to boot Windows to Safe Mode and try to remove the file...

I hope it helps you out,
