As u all know the HR-03 Plus will not only be the first aftermarket cooler for the G80, but also the best cooler on the market by far. The HR-03 was the king of the last generation with it's 4 heatpipes, and now the HR-03 Plus will beat it with it's 6 heatpipes.

I emailed Thermalright inquiring about the release date of this amazing cooler and to my delight it will be released NEXT WEEK in the US.

This means I wont be able to buy it, but you will! :D

Nice find, since it looks like I'll be getting the 8800gtx rather than waiting until MAY for R600. Do you have linkage to this cooler?

Search Google.

Wait a minute, you post about the cooler that you assume no one else knows about and you have the minerals to tell someone to go Google for it? Things have really changed...

I only posted that i talked to them, this isnt a news story that u can link to

Then say that. Telling someone to Google it is basically another way of telling them they are the ones too lazy to do the work.

Uh.. he SHOULD do the lazy work. I in no way said that I was going to.

How hard is it to open up google and type "HR-03 Plus"? The link has nothing to do with my post and i dont have to clerify that everytime someone asks for a link.

Reply to Track

Typically when you start a thread about an article you found, or some news or whatever, you provide a link to what you are talking about. Otherwise, it can be perceived as though you are making it up. So basically, a link has very much to do with your thread.

I will do the honors.

http://www.thermalright.com/a_page [...] 3_plus.htm

It will be out within a week or two.

Reply to sarsoft

I really could be making it up. You'll just have to trust me about that. Or u could email them urself.

Oh, my. You stooped so low as to actually google this for other people???? You are so lame. What are you, their servant? Please leave and go back to the dirt you came from. But before you go, fetch me a soda and my slippers.

http://www.freesmileys.org/emo/signs122.gif I was going to swallow all pride and do the same thing.

Reply to sarsoft

Just when I thought you were here to actually provide something useful, the real you comes back out. So much for second chances, or in your case 3rd, 4th, 5th chances.

Here are some reviews of the old HR-03 (non-plus) for anyone else considering the 8800 version.

You don't even need to get started on that, I'm sorry track, but how damn hard is it to post the links to where you got your information from, I'd have to agree that your popularity around here isn't what I'd be confertable with. Seeing as I'm a nice person and don't know you well, I'll leave it at that, ask someone else if you want to know more on that

I hate to say it guys, but I read this correctly... his e-mail 'conversation' isn't exactly something he can post a URL for.

FWIW, I'm not trying to add fuel to an already burning fire.

Reply to SirDevon

something tells me it aint that difficult to copy and paste an email onto a forum, if it is for you, god bless ya, cuz there's either something wrong with you or your computer. Not trying to be mean here, but I just think all this could have been avoided if he simply gave some more information on how he got his information, same way how amdzone could have saved themselves a lot of trouble by simply including their cpuz validation that Jack later found on a different site

Reply to I_Love_Tacos

Would not a 'cut and paste' be mistakenly perceived as 'making it up' as was previously stated in an above post :?:

Again, I am not trying to put words in anyone's mouth, or as I stated already, add fuel to a fire. But, really guys, is googl'ing that hard?
Seems no one wants to do the leg work...

Reply to SirDevon

It's not a question of doing the leg work, I have no problem googling something, but it's the way track just told people in a prissy way to look it up themselves since he doesn't want to do any work for a thread he started
heh, my post count is the same as my post/day hehe....

that thing looks extremely heavy o_O
I wonder if it need special handles to dont bend the card.

Reply to tamalero

it probably has something, but I still like sparkle's cooler better, even if it doesn't perform as well as sparkle claims

Thanks for getting back on track with this post. :)

Good question. I dont believe it will be a problem. The HR-03 is 350g and HR-03 Plus is 410g. No problems were reported with the HR-03 about its weight. 60g is the difference in weight between them.

Lets hope they`ve done a good work anyway compared with stock.

Reply to cal7

it should, I mean it's clocked higher and has the best cooling out of the bunch, but people are saying that it doesn't perform as well as sparkle "guarantees" it will with something minimal dba and only 60c load

Reply to I_Love_Tacos

TY Sarsoft for the link, that other dude was just lazy when the other ppl asked nicely.

I'm guessing this is gonna cost about $50-80 since the other was about $50-60?

Reply to Trunkz_Jr

I can't say, it was supposed to air around January, but you know how deadlines go. I'm assuming you'd be correct that it would probably be a tad more than the acs3 or roughly $650, but the question is, is the cooling as silence worth the money or not? If they sell the cooler independantly, I'd say just get the cheapest (probably stock evga) 8800gtx you can and get the cooler with it and overclock it yourself and save the money. According the to sparkle's site, it's already out, but not in the US, only Europe so far

i have a GTS so i could get a GTX instead GTS+cooler, but WTH we all like those things

Reply to cal7

hmm, gtx vs gts+cooler, I'd have to say gtx, as you need the pipelines more, and clock it higher if you need to later on

Yeah I agree, the GTX will be more than enough for a while 8O , then later when you need a bit more headroom throw the cooler on there and see how far you can push it. 8)

Reply to petevsdrm

yup, that's what I'd do, but it would be cool to have the cooler...

Reply to petevsdrm

Not sure why Thermalright is claiming to have the first aftermarket liquid cooling heatsink <--- the way I believe I remember their press release reading. It isn't, Dangerden and BFG teamed to bring the first one to market for the 8800GTX and has been on the market a good while now.

Its great that another option is out there now, and maybe its nice for some that they'll have an all-in-one water cooling solution but its not the first WC block as they state in their press. This is nitpicking to a certain extent but still stating first when at best you are second bya couple months is still lying.

Shrug either way I'll buy whatever looks best that I can afford when I do get a DX10 card whether its Nvidia or ATI at that point in time.

ha ha, that makes me feel all good inside
