When I initially built my system I put in 1GB kit ddr2-533. Yes I got yelled at for doing this. Anyway, I replaced the 1GB kit with 4GB kit ddr2-675 (4x1GB). After I installed the 2GB kit and my system posted 4GB. On my computer, view system information, it says 3.25GB of ram. I'm just making sure, is this because Windows XP can't handle more than 2GB of ram? But my system is fine? Thanx :)

This is perfectly normal for a system with 32bit Windows.

Anything between 2.7 and 3.4 GB is all windows can use, due to memory address space reserved by the PCI bus and other devices.

Ok, thank you. I was in dxdiag before to just check my drivers and on the title page it says the same thing (not stating the fact that I have 4GB). So this is normal...good....Im a worry-wart.
