Can I overclock my x2 3800 better with a different mobo?

I have an x2 3800 am2 with 2g of PNY Optima ddr2 667 memory. I made a thread a few minutes ago about upgrading, but another question I have here is... if I buy a better motherboard that's more overclockable, how high would I be able to clock this chip with the memory I have?

X2 3800's normally tend to get to the 2.5GHz-2.8GHz range, depending on how much voltage you're willing to run through it, how much cooling you can afford, and if you got a chip that overclocks well.
