Windows 2000 Pro SP4
I operate an Internet Cafe and for security I make the public
account a restricted user such that people cannot install any software.
However, more and more people use USB memory keys and each time a new
brand appears Windows detects it and wants to install the generic USB
key drivers (again and again and again). This of course means switching over
to Adminstrator and installing that brand of USB memory key, which becomes
problematic when I'm not there to supervise and perform this operation.
Is there some way to either install a generic USB memory key driver for ANY
and ALL brands of USB keys (and USB digital cameras) once and be done; or is
there a way to enable just the detection and installation of USB memory keys
(and drivers) for the restricted user, while denying the installation of any
other type of software?
