Radeon 9550 - just driver or full catalyst control center?

I am rebuilding my daughter's pc and giving her my 9550 card. I always had the CCC installed but never made much use of it as I don't do much overclocking.

I am wondering if rather than downloading and installing the 30 MB catalyst control center from ATI I could/should just down load the 9550 XP driver (10 MB) from ATI. This should get the video card working but not carry the extra bloat of the ccc.

Thoughts?

Even the Omega drivers are 23 MB. What's in the d/l more than just the plain card drivers (ATI d/l is only 10 MB)?
I'd prefer to not deal with the extra bloat.

AFAIK it includeds the old control panel.
Just the Ati drivers itself will be fine, did this in the past.
Ati Tray Tool will do anything else you need, if you need, and it doesn't need to be run all the time also, only if/when you want it too.

Without CCC you don't need .net framework either.

Don't even think about installing CCC.
With this in Poland you can't write "ć" and it eats a lot of RAM.
Instal Omega drivers, because they are better ;)
