How to use email in Windows 7

How do I set up an email account? I keep filling in all of the stupid little boxes but when I try to find my inbox I don't have an account. What gives?

How am I going to confirm my account when I can't get it to work! Jerk!

Just how do you think I am going to get the email if I can't get the thing to accept anything I do? Tells me I haven't got an email accout yet. I go back do it all over again and the same result 6 or more times now!

It really helps when you tell us what Email client you're using. Simply telling us you're filling in a bunch of boxes just isn't enough information.
