Having problem - fails at step 2, produces the TMP file but creates error
quoting msvbvm60.dll.

Have tried rebooting before use and limiting running apps to no avail.

Anyone offer any hope to me??

I hope you're still using a trial version, because you can do all this
by using freeware.

[DVD Decrypter] to store the DVD on your HD
[PocketDivXEncoder] to compress the file (change resolution etc.)
[BetaPlayer] to play the DivX movies

Works great!

Thanks will try it, got DVD to PCC as a freebie when purchasing IPAQ, would
still be nice to get it going.

I use it, and it works great! While there are free methods, DVDtoPPC is just
so easy to use. Let me know if you still have problems.

if it is producing the temp file then it is ripping the DVD and creating the
..mpg file ok. your problem seems to be when it tries to convert the temp
mpg to the pocketpc .wmv movie. I would download and re-install windows
media encoder and see if that fixes the error your getting ???

KDE you are a marvel!!

Downloaded Media Encoder rather than use version that came with DVD to PCC,
it gave me option to Repair or Remove - removed and then reinstalled - Full
Success

Many many thanks

I have downloaded PocketDivXEncoder, and already had DVD Decrypter. Am I
supposed to highlight all the VOB files when trying to make the PPC file?

John

DVD Decrypter should look like this:
<http://www.sectie.be/dvd2dvdr/dvdshrink/dvddecrypt.png>

And if I'm not mistaken (I don't copy DVD's every day :-) then you
should select the biggest VOB-file with PocketDivXEncoder. You'll have
to validate an audio stream. After that, you should use Preview or
Crop to check if you've got the correct VOB file.

(BTW If you haven't already opened the EXE; PocketDivXEncoder.exe
isn't an installer. The EXE just opens the program.)
