OK. This could be a long story, but i'll try to make it short. my brother got an emachines 2 years ago. Cely D S478. So when i came to college with him, after the mobo died i replaced it with a Biostar p4m80. i then found a 6800 agp for $60 so i proceeded to overclock.
Then after all being nice and well (the proc was runnin at 3.4GHz and the voltmodded graphics card was giving its best shots) the graphics died.
So after winter break i replaced it with a 6800gt.
but now i'm scared of burnin this card as well just for a stupid overclock of the celly.
do you think not having an agp lock killed the graphics? BTW, I think it was running near 80MHz
