I've heard of some cheaper slide show solutions... (assuming you want to play on high settings)

That's a pretty low end card and won't be capable of much apart from low quality stuff. Seems pointless to me to team a Core 2 Duo up with such a budget card. I'd say a 7600GT minimum really. Depends on your price range of course.

hy all and thanx 4 your answers.
Trippynet, i don't have money for 7600 :(
So it would be better to buy this one or a ati x1300 256 ddr2?
some people are saying that ddr3 is 25% faster than ddr2 on video cards.
thanx again

try to find an overclocked version, and dont be sad, this GPU can compete with an X800 GTO, just be thankful u r not stuck with a crappy 9550 pro. X1300 series sux so stay away from them

I just picked up this card for a mother-in-laws computer and it's not bad. I was surprised that it gave playable framerates on Rainbow 6 vegas, well at 800x600 and everything turned all the way down. Not bad for someone who doesn't do any real gaming.
