SYNTAX (K7) SV266AD BIOS LOST!!!

I've got a PC that I built and has been running Win XP SP2 with no issues for about a year or so. The other day, I went to reboot, and now I've got nothing. There was nothing irregular about the reboot. It was a standard Windows controlled shutdown and reboot.

So on boot-up, you don't even get through POST. It says
"Award Boot Block BIOS v.10" and then lists a major BIOS issue and asks for a floppy.

So, I figure somehow the BIOS got erased and all I need is a flash program and a copy of the BIOS and a bootable floppy. Easy fixin' right?

Yeah I thought that too. So I boot into DOS and get the flash program loaded. When I load attempt to load the BIOS program, it says it not any newer than what's currently loaded so the BIOS blocker says it can't be updated. And since I can't get into the BIOS, I can't shut the BIOS update block program OFF. Catch 22....

So, where do I go from here? I need a better flash program or a more updated BIOS for the motherboard.
