Hi, I'm looking for the best wireless keyboard and mouse. I do mean truly wireless, no charging cradle or dongles or anything. I would just like a USB plugin and that's it. They don't have to be bought together, but i'm just trying to find the best solution. It will be used somewhat with games, but not too seriously, it just needs to generally work well.

Does anybody have any ideas for me?

Thanks!

Most of the expensive ones have a charging cradle. The cheap ones use batteries, electricity has to come for somewhere. I have a cheap mouse that I carry in my case that uses two AAA batteries and has the USB plug stored in the back of the mouse. Works great with win2k XP and Macs with no drivers needed and got it on sale for $10 no name . I also have a Logitech with the charging cradle that is a pain.

Newegg has one from Microsoft that uses batteries for $12 after a $10 MIR

However it has the dongle which you do not want.

If you want to go high end and switch from standard optical to lazer gamers mouse then this one from logitech might fill your bill

notice it just has a small USB attachment and uses batteries.

For a keyboard mouse combo I don't remember ever seeing one that did not have a dongle that you had to sid somewhere probably because you need two channels. However here is a nice combo that uses batteries and no charger.
