What do you guys think?

The Dell XPS 710 H2C Edition has an innovative, two-stage cooling solution that helps cool the processor even at its highest mode, and does so more effectively than Dell’s air-cooling solution. The H2C hybrid cooling system combines a liquid radiator, a thermoelectric cooling module and control circuitry to optimize CPU cooling with minimal power. Ideal for gaming enthusiasts, the system is designed to help the XPS 710 H2C Edition stay cool in overclocked mode2—up to 9 degrees cooler even when you clock it at bin+2 speeds.3

Pretty sure it's a marketing ploy...

I am curious how many watts the "TEC Module" is. A whole 9 degrees cooler! Wow! A $25 Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro can drop twice that from stock cooling...

I like it. I think it's cool that Dell is trying to innovate. Even if it's truly not better than existing solutions, at least someone out there is thinking of the enthusiasts.

Kudos to Dell. Maybe they'll get their act straight. They seem to be on the right track with XPS. Now if they can just be more price-competitive, and improve motherboard quality...

Drawing the fine line between innovation and trying to make something sound sweet to prey on unknowing people (marketing.)

I can't argue that they are heading in the right direction, acquiring Alienware could have a little to do with the better setups they are offering for the enthusiast.

I mean, Dell is even offering factory overclocked (2.93 -> 3.5) X6800s.

Way too much money! I just put together a liquid system that cost me well under $300 and my idle temps are between 24-28c on an Opty 170 @ 2.8.
