RPC and Windows 2000 Server

To All,
i've rebuilt my 2ky server and an getting the error message in
the sys event log of :
Event ID's 7000 and 7009 which describes
"The Remote_Procedure_Call service failed to start due to the following
error:

The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely
fashion"
I can't track down what settings i've got wrong. This error message occured
pretty much straight away after setting up from the CD with out any
configuration or the application of service packs.

The server is a domain server.
